Course overview:

A two-day PR Training course focusing on how to maximise coverage on TV, radio, press and online, all from a journalistic perspective. Delegates are given a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts what journalists are looking for and how to marry that with the demands of a PR brief.

  • How to pitch a feature
  • What picture editors look for in a photo
  • How news agencies work and a tour of Press Association
  • How it feels to do Radio and TV interviews - practical exercises
  • How to increase broadcast coverage
  • Communicating online – where to start
  • Working as a team under pressure
  • Planning and pitching a media campaign

Delegates also have a chance to meet and quiz members of the Press Association's editorial staff.
