Charity Competition

Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions relate to the TNR Charity Competition to win a Video and Photography Package for your PR event.   By entering the competition, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and to be bound by them. TNR may amend or vary these terms and conditions at any time without notice, by posting changes on the TNR website.

“TNR” means TNR Communications Limited (registered in England No. 3704364) whose registered office is at 292 Vauxhall Bridge Road, London SW1V 1AE

Eligibility and Entry

1.  The competition is open to all registered charities of the United Kingdom, with a relevant registered UK charity number, except employees of TNR, their family members or anyone professionally connected with the competition.

2.  Only one entry will be accepted per charity.

3.  Entry into the competition is free and no purchase is necessary to participate.

4. You can enter the competition by filling out the questionnaire found by following the link on the following page of the TNR website: TNR Charity Competition and emailing your completed entry to TNR using the following email address: penny@tnrcommunications.co.uk.

The questionnaire requires you to provide the following details to enter the competition:

(a) Details of your Charity:

(b) Details of the PR event for which TNR will provide the prize Video and Photography Package if you win:

o        What is the campaign –?

o        What is the event date?

o        What is the event?

o        Do you have a spokesperson / celebrity? If yes, who?

o        Why and how do you feel these services will help your charity?

5. The closing date for entries is 17:00 GMT on Friday 16th April. TNR does not accept responsibility for lost, delayed, corrupted, undelivered or invalid entries. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

Selection of winner and prize details

6.  Five charities will be shortlisted by a panel of judges from all the completed questionnaires received by the closing date. The judges will make their selection based on:

o        The ability of the event to resonate with the media

o        The event that we feel would benefit the most from a Photography and Video package to gain media coverage.

o        If the event will work visually

o        The creative input from the charity or PR team.

o        The timescale of the event

The shortlisted charities will be notified on Wednesday 21st April by [email / telephone] and will be required to supply a press release for their chosen PR event by 17:00 GMT on Friday 23rd April 2010. A winner will be chosen by the same panel of judges whose decision, based on the above criteria, shall be final. The final decision will be made by 11:00 GMT on Friday 30th April and the winner will be notified by [email / telephone] within 24 hours.

7.  One winner will win a free PR Photography and Videocall package supplied by TNR. The winner’s chosen event in respect of which TNR will provide the prize must take place before the end of June 2010. The one winner will receive a DVD of the images and video taken from the event, which they will be able to use for any below the line marketing purposes. The images will be offered to the Press Association picture desk for potential distribution on the news wire. Distribution on the news wire cannot be guaranteed. The video will uploaded to five video streaming sites including YouTube, MySpace, Motion box, Vimeo and Sevenload. The package contract has a usual value of £2,525. No cash alternative will be offered and the prize is not transferable. Bookings are subject to availability.

8. The winner will be treated as a TNR client and will be required to enter into a standard client contract for the supply of the TNR PR Photography and Videocall package with TNR to initiate the project. A copy of this standard contract is available from TNR on request.

9.  The receipt, by any winner, of any of the prize is conditional upon compliance by the winner with any and all relevant laws, rules and regulations (in particular by having a registered charity number) as well as these competition terms and conditions and the terms of the TNR client contract. The winner is solely responsible for all insurance, applicable taxes and for any expenses or costs not specified in the prize description.

10. TNR reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent or greater value if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control.

11. If a prize is unclaimed after reasonable attempts by TNR have been made to contact the winner, then TNR will be entitled to choose another winner as it thinks fit without any liability to the winner for having done so. A period of two weeks will be allowed after notification using the supplied contact details for the winner to claim the prize.

12. TNR reserves the right to disqualify any entrant (entirely at its own discretion) if there are reasonable grounds to believe an entrant has acted in breach of any of these terms and conditions.

13. Ineligible or multiple entries or entries that are made fraudulently will be disqualified.

The material you provide TNR

14. It is very important that the material you provide as part of the competition is your own work. Material that you did not create yourself, or that include images of people or information about people without their permission can result in serious liability to us and to you.

15. You retain your copyright in the material you provide to us as part of your competition entry.

16. In exchange for TNR allowing you to enter the competition you agree that TNR may, and grant TNR a non-exclusive worldwide sub-licensable licence to use, or allow third parties to use, any material you have provided as part of your competition entry:

(a)     for the purposes of the competition including to select a competition winner;

(b)     for TNR’s internal market analysis;

(c)     in order to provide you with the prize services if you win; and

(d)     to use the winner’s charity name and logo for promotional purposes on TNR’s website or elsewhere.

17. You promise that you are the only creator and owner of the material you provide to TNR or, if you are not the exclusive owner, you have received written consent from the owner to provide the material to TNR and to grant TNR the rights to use the material for the purposes described above.

Data Protection

18. You agree that any personal information you provide to TNR, including without limitation, your name, charity name and registration number, address (including postcode), telephone number and/or email address may be used:(a)    for the purposes of the competition including to select a competition winner;(b)     in order to provide you with the prize services if you win; and (c)    otherwise in accordance with TNR’s privacy policy

Except to the extent necessary for the purpose of fulfilling the prize service to you, your personal data will not be disclosed to any third party without your prior consent. . Register your interest and we’ll inform you when course dates are released.

General

19. TNR may cancel or suspend the competition for reasons outside its reasonable control.

20. The winner agrees that TNR and its subsidiaries, affiliates, related companies and employees shall have no liability in connection with acceptance or use of any of the prize awarded in the competition.

21. The competition is governed by English law and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the event of any dispute arising out of the competition or its administration.
